Song Studies

The Song Studies are new teachings based on popular song titles.  The goal of the Song Studies is to use our familiarity with the songs to explore our relationship with God.

The Bible says that we are in the world, but tells us not to be conformed to the world (Romans 12:2; John 17:15-17).  I enjoyed secular songs before I was saved, and continue to enjoy them today.  They helped me to value creativity, which belongs to God.

Please note that the Song Studies are not critiques or commentaries on the artists' religious standing, lyrical meanings, morality, standing in heaven or hell or anything like that.

The Song Studies are my own independent thoughts about my relationship with God when I am listening to the songs.  Like, do I love Him, will I wait for Him, that type of thing.
